Hi,
When I bought 3 new chandeliers I skipped the efficient bulbs because they were $10 each.
Today Home Depot was selling 3-packs of soft white (not blue) 40W-equivalent chandelier (E12) bulbs for 3.57 or 3.97, so about $1 each, almost the same as the 25W incandescents I had been using.
I bought 15 for my chandeliers, then ordered 6 E22 to E12 socket reducers from Amazon and 6 more bulbs for my gas/electric chandelier. The only downside is they take half or a full minute to get completely bright (start out like a 15W or 20W) but I just replaced 555W of incandescents with 147W of CFL and got much brighter rooms.
